Putin in Kazan: excursion in Innopolis, opening of headquarters of Court of Arbitration and European tatami
Today, on 22 April, the President of Russia Vladimir Putin is expected to come to Kazan. It is his second official visit to the capital of Tatarstan and the third arrival in the republic in the last two years. The official programme of the visit of the first person is kept in secret. As far as Realnoe Vremya is concerned, the official opening of the building of Court of Arbitration of the Republic of Tatarstan might take place. Moreover, Putin will possible have an excursion in Innopolis.
What we know for sure
At present the official information about the agenda of the first person's visit to Kazan is poor. It is already known that Putin will take part in the opening ceremony of the European Judo Championships. It is no surprise: the President of Russia is one of the most famous judokas of the country.
The European Championships will take place at Tatneft-Arena. Here organizers were lucky twice: Ak Bars crashed out from the Gagarin Cup and Eros Ramazotti's concert was cancelled, so that the competition will be held there. Over a hundred of mats were laid at Tatneft Arena for the contest.
Realnoe Vremya also told that Putin was going to chair a meeting of the Council for the Development of Physical Culture and Sport. It is planned to talk about the organization of the 2016 IIHF World Championship. The very tournament will be in Moscow and St. Petersburg on 6-22 May.
In addition, Putin is going to speak about the participation of the national team of Russia in the 2018 Olympic Games with sports functionaries. The instruction on the Council did not mention the discussion of the 2018 FIFA WC. So we can only guess whether the topic of football Mundial will be discussed.
What we were told
Realnoe Vremya's own sources told about two additional potential points in the programme of Putin's visit to Kazan. To start with, it is the opening of the building of Court of Arbitration of the Republic of Tatarstan on Novo-Pesochnaya Street.
Initially, the Court of Arbitration was to move to a new building on 30 August 2015, on Republic's Day. Later the contractor postponed putting the building into operation until 15 October.
However, the press service of the Court of Arbitration did not confirm the information about Putin's possible visit. Neither did they say the date of the move. 'We are also waiting for information,' the press secretary of the court Aigul Rakhmatullina told a journalist of Realnoe Vremya by phone. But correspondents who visit court hearings have heard about a soon move many times.
People living next to the new building of the Court of Arbitration told Realnoe Vremya that there was a landscaping on the site in front of the court on Monday and Tuesday. So, huge fir trees were planted, asphalt was laid. A source, which is close to the contractor, confirmed that the builders greened the territory and arrange paths. 'Why do they plant fir trees one day before? Draw conclusions yourselves,' he noted.
The first visit to Innopolis
According to our source, the second possible point of the visit is Innopolis. Another interlocutor, which is close to the administration of Innopolis, told that the IT-city is waiting for Putin and preparing for it. It is planned to make an excursion in the city. 22 April will be the second say of the forum Management of Personnel Mobility in IT. The source added that the President of Russia would not deliver a speech there but possibly have a look at the sites. Putin will probably be showed a new housing programme for residents of Innopolis. Realnoe Vremya told about the programme of rented dwelling.
In addition, On 22 April, it was decided to open a memorable wall with the names of all partners of the IT-city. The Minister of Communications of the Russian Federation Nikolai Nikoforov, the head of the Ministry of Communications of Tatarstan Roman Shaikhutdinov, representatives of the very city and unnamed 'honoured guests' were mentioned among the participants of the event.
It should be added that Putin has never visited the scientific city in Tatarstan. We could not get any comment from representatives of the City Administration of Innopolis. Answering a question about Putin's visit and his participation in the opening of the building of the Court of Arbitration, the head of the press service of the President of Tatarstan Eduard Khairullin said: 'I don't confirm it at this moment'.
Putin in Tatarstan
The President's Friday visit to Tatarstan will be the third in the last two years. Earlier he was in Kazan at the opening ceremony of the FINA World Championships.
