TAIF-NK supports unique Cadetship project in Volga Federal District

TAIF-NK oil refinery actively participates in Cadetship project. Thanks to the enterprise's financing, there has been carried out a major overhaul, there has been built a swimming pool, and all conditions to do sport have been created in the Tatarstan Cadet Corps named after Soviet Union Hero Gani Safiullin. Realnoe Vremya tells where the cadet corps's graduates go and why people want to spread the Volga District's experience across the country.

The Tatarstan Cadet Corps named after Soviet Union Hero Gani Safiullin is one of the most prestigious educational establishments of the republic. Specialists for ground troops for Air Forces of the Russian Federation are trained here from the fifth grade. The corps has 252 students, a quarter of them are pupils from other Russian regions.

The Cadet Boarding School in Nizhnekamsk was created in 2003. 10 years later, in 2013, Cadetship project kicked off on the initiative of Plenipotentiary Ambassador of the Russian Federation in the Volga Federal District Mikhail Babich in the Volga Federal District. Regional cadet corps started to be created in the Volga District, which were chaired by Mikhail Babich. The establishment in Nizhnekamsk, which was given the status of Tatarstan Regional Cadet Corpus named after Soviet Union Hero Gani Safiullin, became one of the regional corps.

The project on creation of regional cadet corps in the Volga District is unique, but there wasn't presupposed targeted financing from federal ministries for it. This is why financial support of enterprises was needed to fulfil it. Understanding the importance of Cadetship project, TAIF-NK oil refinery was one of the first companies to claim it would annually allocate big money to it.

Thanks to the financing of TAIF-NK, physical facilities of the cadet corps have been updated for several years. The building has been completely reconstructed since 2013. Now the students live in rooms for seven people with WC, shower and wardrobe. There are rooms to have a rest and psychological relief. Classrooms are equipped with interactive desks, projectors, there have been created laboratories for Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Robotics, digital photo and video studios. A sports facility with a swimming pool has been built to do sport, there was equipped an obstacle course, universal sports halls for futsal and basketball, an outdoor sports facility for workout have been installed.

A big job was done to improve the territory too. ''The Tatarstan Cadet Corps is one of the best,'' Mikhail Babich evaluated the done job many times. The project Cadetship not only trains personnel for Russia's Armed Forces but also performs a social function that supports children that are in difficult straits. Orphans, children whose parents can't provide their kids' education as well as children of dead militaries and police workers are given priority when admitting students.

Since 2013, the regional Tatarstan Cadet Corps has prepared more than 1,000 young men many of whom saw service in Russia's Armed Forces. Tens of children who were in difficult straits got support. This all became possible only thanks to the financial help of industrial giants.

TAIF-NK PJSC Director General Rushan Shamgunov received a Letter of Gratitude on behalf of Plenipotentiary Ambassador of the Russian Federation in the Volga Federal District Mikhail Babich for the support of Cadetship federal project, cooperation and patronage of socially important projects for children and the youth.

Now the Volga Federal District has six cadet corps. It became possible to create them thanks to the companies that understand the importance of the project and allocate money to finance it. The experience of cadet education in the Volga District is planned to be spread to the whole country. Minister of Education and Science of the Russian Federation Olga Vasilyeva claimed it at an away expanded meeting of the Cadet Education Council of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Russian Federation in Perm in November. Even if the Tatarstan Cadet Corpus named after Soviet Union Hero Gani Safiullin has completely transformed, it's planned to continue improving its physical facilities.

TAIF-NK intends to take part in developing the cadet corps and annually allocate big money for this purpose further on. The enterprise understands how important it is to inculcate patriotism from an early age. So it's possible to not only train quality staff for Russia's Armed Forces but also, most importantly, motivate the youth to see service in the army and protect the homeland. A patriotic young generation is a foundation for a strong and successfully developing country.
