The Kazan Kremlin brought together representatives of various industries: petrochemistry and oil refining, education, healthcare, culture, agriculture. The occasion is significant — here in the hall of celebrations, there were presented state awards of the Russian Federation and the Republic of Tatarstan for the highest achievements in the profession. This time, 58 Tatarstan citizens received awards from the hands of President of the Republic Rustam Minnikhanov.

“In this hall, we are honouring the honoured representatives of various spheres of economy and social sphere. It is gratifying that among the awarded every year there appear more and more people from production who create material values with their own hands. I believe that the state and society should contribute even more actively to raising the prestige of working people. I sincerely congratulate you on the awards,” Rustam Minnikhanov addressed the audience.

Among the awarded this year, there is Alexander Trofimov, a process unit operator of the gasoline plant at TAIF-NK PSC. He has been awarded the title Honoured Chemist of the Republic of Tatarstan.

“For me, it is the first award of such level,” Alexander Trofimov admitted in the conversation with Realnoe Vremya. “The medal means a lot to me. This is a confirmation of my dedication to the profession and the enterprise, which I love very much.”

The expert in refining

Alexander Trofimov's entire career is connected with the petrochemical and oil refining industries. In TAIF-NK, he began working in 2006 at the gasoline plant. At that time, the construction was just finishing and the commissioning of the catalytic cracking shop was beginning. After the successful start-up of the shop, Alexander Trofimov continued to supervise the reconstruction of the gasoline hydrotreatment unit.

Alexander Mikhaylovich took part in the development of proposals to reduce the consumption of thermal energy. In addition, he assisted in the preparation of the technological equipment of the gasoline hydrotreatment unit for the repair works on their reconstruction.

Also, Alexander Trofimov took part in the construction, installation and commissioning works to launch the production of Euro 5 gasoline. He monitored the operation of the gas fractionation of hydrocarbon fractions unit, controlled the purification of the products produced from sulphur-containing compounds.

The reconstruction of the catalytic cracking gasoline hydrotreatment unit was carried out also with his participation. The project made it possible to change the quality of products for the better and improve the technology of obtaining commercial gasoline.

The mentor for young employees

In addition to professional achievements, Aleksander Trofimov leads an active social life. He acts as a mentor, transfers his knowledge and experience, teaches effective and safe working methods to young workers who continue to work independently in the production shops of the gasoline plant.

“He is technically competent, diligent, disciplined,” the colleagues say about Alexander Trofimov. Thanks to these qualities, he enjoys well-deserved authority and great respect in the team and in the workplace.

“The work at TAIF-NK helped me to acquire new knowledge, to grow professionally, to gain life experience. I am planning to continue to work effectively for the benefit of the enterprise,” summed up Alexander Trofimov.
