Opening of the rowing season in Kazan: ‘dragon’ races, dance battle and presentation of training centre

On 1 June, the rowing season opened in the Kazan Rowing Centre. There were organised interactive playgrounds, a crossfit competition called Iron Academics, 'dragon' races and dance battle performed by Virtus Crew for spectators. All people had a chance to test the rowing equipment, play streetball, darts and throw flying disks, rent bicycles and even step onto an entertaining box ring.

Presentation of the Federal Sport Training Rowing Centre took place on the same day. According to the rector of the Volga Region State Academy of Physical Culture Yusup Yakubov, 500m rubles were spent on the construction of the facility. Kazan Production and Construction Association was behind the construction. The centre is equipped with up-to-date equipment that will allow the athletes to recover their health.
