On 5 February, Innopolis hosted an extended board meeting of the ministry of information and communication of the Republic of Tatarstan, which was attended by Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation Maksim Akimov, President of the Republic of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov, Deputy Minister of Digital Development, Communications and Mass Communications of the Russian Federation Aleksey Sokolov and other guests.

The results of the industry in 2018 were summed up by Deputy Minister of Information and Communication Roman Shaykhutdinov. In addition, the board signed a number of important documents for the industry: an agreement on cooperation in the development of digital economy between the ministry of communications and Association of Innovative Regions of Russia and a partnership agreement with MegaFon PJSC within preparation for WorldSkills Kazan 2019.
