Victory Parade took place yesterday at the Millennium square in Kazan. Among the spectators there were President of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov, State Counselor Mintimer Shaimiev, Chairman of Tatarstan State Council Farid Mukhametshin, Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin and other officials and, of course, the main heroes of the holiday — veterans of the Great Patriotic War. Almost 2,000 people participated in the Victory Parade: cadets, officers and the silent drill platoon of the Kazan tank school, students of the Law Institute of MIA of the Russian Federation, officers of the ministry of internal affairs, the detachment of special purpose of the National Guard Forces Command of the Russian Republic of Tatarstan, members of the FPS of Russia in RT, EMERCOM of Russia in RT, the customs service, the students of the Kazan National Research Technological University, Kazan National Research Technical University named after A.N. Tupolev and Kazan State Medical University, young army men and veterans of combat actions in Afghanistan. They walked through the square with a solemn march. The event continued with the passage of military equipment. This year for the first time the restored equipment of the war years has been presented in the parade, including the legendary T-34, IS-3 and BM-13 Katyusha tanks.
