'Russia in World Cultural Heritage' all-Russian session took place in Kazan in Korston on 28 October. Minister of Culture of Russia Vladimir Medinsky, Responsible Secretary of the Commission of the Russian Federation for UNESCO Grigory Ordzhonikidze, State Adviser Mintimer Shaimiev participated in the forum's work.

The experience of Tatarstan in fulfillment of international scientific and cultural projects, creation of promotion mechanisms of Russian cultural and natural sites to the UNESCO heritage list and cooperation with international experts and organisations were the main topics for discussion.

During the meeting, Vladimir Medinsky gave Mintimer Shaimiev an example of one of the rarest editions of Quran - only five copies have been printed.
