First in Russia: turbine with a capacity of 405,5 MW put into operation in Kazan CHPP-3

On 19 June, Rustam Minnikhanov put a new power unit with a capacity of 405,5 MW into operation. The most powerful, effective of its kind, latest GE 9HA.01 gas turbine is at its heart. The turbine has the latest technologies and achievements. The Kazan CHPP-3 became the first energy facility in Russia and second in the world to have this kind of gas turbine unit. After launching the gas turbine unit, performance indicators of the Kazan CHPP-3 considerably increased. The unit rises combined cycle electricity generation in the KCHPP-3 three times by reducing a considerable deficit of electricity of the Kazan Energy District and increasing energy supply reliability of the biggest industrial enterprises and population of Kazan.
