Victory Day in Kazan: flower to Eternal Flame, one-minute silence and Russian Navy flag raising

Yesterday Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov, Tatarstan State Adviser Mintimer Shaimiev, Tatarstan State Council Chairman Farid Mukhametshin, Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin and other officials laid flowers to Eternal Flame in Kazan Victory Square.

After laying wreaths and flowers to Eternal Flame, people who were there paid tribute to the memory of the dead during the years of war by a one-minute silence. Then Rustam Minnikhanov and Mintimer Shaimiev laid flowers to the Monument to Mothers and Widows of the Dead Soldiers.

The ceremony participants were received by Russian Navy veterans and cadets of the Kazan School No. 78 near the conning tower of Kazan submarine. The Russian Navy flag was raised.
