Celebration of Nowruz - New Year Iranian and Turkic New Year - took place in Khan's Yard in the Kazan Hippodrome on 25 March. Representatives of 8 national and cultural autonomies of the Peoples' Assembly of Tatarstan - Uzbeks, Azerbaijanis, Tajiks, Kyrgyz, Bashkirs, Turkmens and Afghans - participated there. The celebration started with Land Awakening dance and followed by a concert of national collectives.
