Mawlid in winter Bolgar: meeting on Islamic Academy, prayer and festive fireworks

Events dedicated to Eid al-Mawlid an-Nabawī - to the birthday of the founder of Islam - Prophet Muhammad took place on 11 December at White Mosque in Bolgar. A meeting of the Council of Founders of the Bolgarian Islamic Academy took place before the start of the celebration in the conference hall of White Mosque. Chairman of the Muslim Spirituality Directorate of Tatarstan, Mufti of Tatarstan Kamil Samigullin, chairman of the Central Muslim Spirituality Directorate, senior Mufti of Russian Talgat Tadjuddin, first deputy chairman of the Muslim Spirituality Directorate of Russia and Council of Muftis of Russia Rushan Abbyasov took part in the meeting. State Adviser of the Republic of Tatarstan Mintimer Shaimiev, head of the Tatarstan President's Apparatus Asgat Safarov, aide to President of Tatarstan Kamil Iskhakov, chairman of the Council on Islamic Education and rector of the Russian Islamic Institute Rafik Mukhametshin, professor of the University of Jordan Abdul-Razzaq Abdurrahman were also invited to the meeting.
