Holy book by heart. Best Quran readers compete in Kazan

The final of the regional contest of Quran reciters took place yesterday. Contestants competed in two nominations: tilawa (expressive reading of Quran) and hifs (reciting Quran by heart). The participants (about 70 people) are winners of the previous stages that took place from October to November in muhtasibats and regional centres of the muftiate.

All-round winners in each nomination get a trip to the Hajj. Runners-up will can perform Umrah, and bronze medallists will be presented notebooks.
