The Muay Thai World Cup started at Basket Hall on 22 November. Deputy PM of Tatarstan Vasil Shaikhraziev, Secretary General of the International Muay Thai Federation Stephan Fox, Russian State Duma deputy Olga Pavlova and President of the Tatarstan branch of the Russian Union of Martial Arts and Chairman of the Constitutional Court of Russia Farkhat Khusnutdinov were honourable guests of the ceremony.

The Muaythai World Cup will last in Kazan until 26 November. 300 best fighters of the planet will meet on the ring. International competitions will become a qualifier to the World Games, which will be held on 20-30 July 2017 in Polish Wrocław. Marsel Valishin is defending the honour of the Republic of Tatarstan in the Russian national team.
