The opening of the 26th International Specialized Exhibition Oil, Gas. Petrochemistry, held within the Tatarstan Petrochemical Forum, has taken place in Kazan. Kazanorgsintez PJSC participates in the exhibition every year, presenting the latest developments of the enterprise. Metallocene polyethylene has been this year's novelty, for which Kazanorgsintez has been awarded the Grand Prix in the category Products with New or Improved Characteristics. Read the details in the material of Realnoe Vremya.

About 180 companies attended the forum

The Tatarstan Petrochemical Forum is traditionally held in early September under the patronage of President of the Republic of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov. This year, the honoured guests have been Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation Oleg Bocharov, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Belarus in the Russian Federation Vladimir Semashko, Deputy Head of the Federal Service for Ecological, Technological and Nuclear Supervision Alexander Trembitsky, Minister of State of Turkmenistan — Chairman of Turkmengaz state concern Murat Archaev, Deputy Minister of Energy of the Republic of Azerbaijan Gulmammad Suleyman oglu Javadov and others.

The event brings together three industry exhibitions under its leadership

The event brings together three industry exhibitions under its leadership: ‘Oil, Gas. Petrochemicals’, ‘GEO-KAZAN: Geological Survey. Geodesy. Cartography’ and Interplastika. About 180 companies from Russia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Germany, Canada, Korea, Czech Republic, Japan take part in the exhibitions. They represent modern materials, equipment and technologies in the field of oil refining and petrochemistry.

Grand Prix for the new brand of polyethylene

The enterprises that presented the best technologies and products at the exhibition are traditionally awarded with Grand Prix diplomas. This year, the Grand Prix in the nomination Production with New or Improved Characteristics has been awarded to the new brand of the products of Kazanorgsintez — metallocene linear low density polyethylene (LLDPE) of F2010M brand. The product was brought to market this April. Kazanorgsintez, part of TAIF Group, has become the only Russian producer of metallocene polyethylene.

Farid Minigulov, the director general of Kazanorgsintez PJSC, received the award from the hands of Rustam Minnikhanov. During the presentation of the stand of the enterprise to the head of the republic, he told about the features of the new brand.

“It allows to produce the films of higher quality and various products. This year, we have received about 2,000 tonnes of industrial batch of metallocene catalyst. Next year, we are planning to produce about 20,000 tonnes,” said Farid Minigulov.

Rustam Minnikhanov highly appreciated the products of Kazanorgsintez and asked about the plans of the enterprise for this year. Let us remind that last year Kazanorgsintez launched four pyrolysis furnaces, which replaced ten old furnaces that have been working for almost 40 years.

“We are completing the first stage of modernization of the polycarbonate plant. Next year, we are planning to increase its production to 100,000 tonnes a year. In Russia and the CIS — it is the only plant for the production of polycarbonate. Generally, we supply these products to the Russian market,” said Farid Minigulov.

Promising petrochemistry

Metallocene linear low density polyethylene (LLDPE) of the F2010M and F2030M grades produced by Kazanorgsintez is used for the production of films of various thickness for packing, storing, transporting of goods (products), the production of bags used in harsh conditions. Such films are characterized by high tensile strength and high resistance to punctures.

In the first half of 2019, Kazanorgsintez produced 1,500 tonnes of linear polyethylene using metallocene catalyst. The products were sold both in the domestic market of Russia and abroad. According to consumers, domestic LLDPE is not inferior to imported analogues. By the end of the year, it is planned to produce another 5,000-7,000 tonnes of metallocene linear polyethylene, which will replace about 30-35% of the monthly consumption of imported product in the domestic market of the Russian Federation.

The stand of Kazanorgsintez also presented the last year's winner of the exhibition — the composition of high density polyethylene of PE 100 type of PE2NT11-9 brand. It is used in the manufacture of pipes and connecting pieces. For this pipe grade of polyethylene, the company received international certificate of conformity of indicators of the polyethylene with the requirements of ISO 9080. It made it possible to enter the list of the world's 20 largest producers of polyethylene. To obtain the certificate, five years ago the fragments of polyethylene pipe were sent for hydrostatic load testing.

Besides the novelties, the stand of the enterprise presented to the high-pressure polyethylene of the 15313-003 brand (for the manufacture of thin films and the film products for the coating of products approved for contact with food products), polycarbonate of RS-022 brand (for the production of technical products by injection moulding — counters for water, car headlights and lenses), Sevilen of 11808-340 brand (adhesive composition and hot melt adhesive compositions, depressant additives to petroleum fuels, the component to cover parchment and cardboard, insulation materials, building panels, the composition for the manufacture of shoes).
