TAIF-NK employees join Nizhnekamsk’s clean-up campaign

Over 250 TAIF-NK employees have joined the city’s big clean-up campaign this spring. They cleaned Lesnaya Street in stages – cleared the road of sand and took dry leaves. Today the company’s workers are completing the clean-up whitening postings, trees and kerbsides. More is in Realnoe Vremya’s report.

This spring TAIF-NK employees have traditionally been assigned Lesnaya Street. Workers of factories and the top management are putting the section almost three kilometres long in other in three stages. The first clean-up was on 10 and 11 April, then 75 people joined the campaign. They scattered snow so that it would melt faster, swept kerbs and the adjacent territory – it is the hardest work, as all the sand accumulated during the winter needed to be removed. Almost 25 cubic metres of waste was disposed of the territory for the two days.

‘‘Every time we go to the clean-up in a good mood because we want very much our Nizhnekamsk to be clean and beautiful after winter,’’ the company’s worker Olga Nikolayeva shared.

The second wave of the clean-up was on 17-18 April: during the sanitary cleaning, 92 workers of the benzenes plant and the oil refinery cleaned the kerbs and the adjacent territory near the road from dry leaves, branches and waste. Almost 50 cubic metres of waste was disposed of by joint efforts.

‘‘We also attract special machinery to every clean-up. It’s KAMAZ lorries, sweeping tractors and forklift trucks taking the waste to the landfill. 10 special vehicles participated in the second stage – it’s quite enough to put the territory in order and quickly dispose of all the waste,’’ TAIF-NK representatives explained.

The final stage of the cleaning began – employees cleared posts of ads, whitened trees and kerbs

The final stage of the spring clean-up was from 24 to 25 April. 90 employees of the enterprise improved the cleaned territory for the two days: they cleared posts from ads, whitened trees and kerbs.

As a socially responsible enterprise, TAIF-NK annually participates in the sanitary and ecological bimonthly clean-up. Last year, 110 employees of the benzenes plant, the oil refinery and the Heavy Residues Deep Conversion Complex were in the city’s general Wednesday clean-up.

In addition, the enterprise’s employees regularly take part in The Green Wave large-scale ecological campaign. They traditionally plant about 3,500 seedlings of birch, rowan and linden trees in the city’s streets.
