Have Suleyman Zaripov and Sheikh Nadzhmeddin been captured by bandits in Saransk?

Hunts for the lost imam finished in Buinsk, but another volunteer centre appeared in Mordovia

Volunteers and siloviks working on searches for the disappeared Suleyman Zaripov and his fellow-traveller explored the length and breadth of Buinsk and set a new course for Ulyanovsk Oblast and Mordovia. By the way, the story of the sudden disappearance of two men might end in Mordovia in the short run. Realnoe Vremya tells in detail.

In Buinsk, they extracted everything they could

On 16 February, the searching group of the lost Suleyman Zaripov closed. Headed by Hazrat Mansur, the volunteers 'moved' to Al-Mardjani Mosque, and the searches for the imam and his fellow-traveller Sheikh Nadzhmeddin switched to Ulyanovsk Oblast and the Republic of Mordovia.

Nuria, the daughter of Suleyman Zaripov, wrote on her page in a social network: 'Dear friends, relatives, all people who empathize us, we inform you that the searchers finished their work in Buinsk and surrounding territories. We express our special gratitude to the head of the administration of Buinsk District Aizatullin Azat, mukhtasib Hazrat Ilmir, the imam of the mosque in Studenets settlement Hazrat Linur and all volunteers who took part in the hunts'.

According to the imam-mukhtasib of Buinsk District Hazrat Ilmir, despite this information, the volunteers continue to call him and ask whether they should come and help.

In turn, the head of the group in Al-Mardjani Mosque of Kazan Hazrat Mansur confirms that Buinsk District has been thoroughly swept for the last week. Practically all surveillance camera video records were collected and watched. He says that about 2,000 volunteers helped in searching in recent days.

It might seem, what does Saransk have to do with it here?

It should be noted that the branch of the group in Buinsk closed but another one will open in Saransk. By the way, Realnoe Vremya managed to find out that at the beginning of the week a record of surveillance cameras of the hotel of Saransk, where Hazrat Suleyman stayed a night, draw the volunteers' attention.

'A record of surveillance cameras of the hotel of Saransk, where Hazrat Suleyman stayed a night, draw our attention. There were some cars that did not enter the territory of the hotel: they passed by, stopped several times, so we cannot state anything concretely… there is no foundation,' Hazrat Ilmir shared his suspicions.

We should say that another 'car' version is that malefactors pursued Suleyman Zaripov and his fellow-traveller en route. The version was quickly cancelled by the volunteers.

'We've watched all video records that we managed to get and seen nothing suspicious. It was a usual traffic: somebody follows them, somebody overtakes, nothing special happened. But we gave the information to the Investigative Committee,' Hazrat Mansur informs.

All roads lead to Mordovia

In a conversation with Realnoe Vremya the head of the Kazan group mentioned that the hunts for the imam in Buinsk ended, but the volunteers mystically felt confidence that Hazrat Suleyman will be found soon.

'When the branch in Buinsk closed, all volunteers gathered in Kazan, and we all felt confidence that he was alive, and that we would find him. We won't say anything concretely… Let's suppose that we found some information that permits to think so,' Hazrat Mansur informed.

As a source of Realnoe Vremya that is close to siloviks told, the searches have finished, and now the main version is that the imam and his fellow-traveller from the UAE were captured by bandits who brought them to Saransk. Today the cars that had been noticed near the hotel are tracked. It is supposed that the lost people are taken captive somewhere in Mordovia.

It should be noted that the Investigative Committee of Tatarstan flatly refused to comment the situation of the searches for Suleyman Zaripov. There is less information from the volunteers and the imam's relatives. Many people say 'the work has being carried out' as if they were asked by the siloviks to answer using fixed phrases.
