The heaven-born bankers: annual loss of Ak Bars and the banks of the group TFB exceeded 11 billion rubles

Tatarstan banks have managed to double their losses in just three months – last quarter of 2015

The largest banks of Tatarstan – Ak Bars Bank and banks of the group TFB (Tatfondbank, Intekhbank and Timer) — by the end of 2015 have total losses at over 11.4 billion rubles. As a result, the total result of the banks in the Republic turned out to be negative for the first time in several years. The main culprits of huge losses among the credit organizations of Tatarstan – in the review of analytical service of Realnoe Vremya.

The 'most successful' bankers

For the first time in several years, banks of Tatarstan have a total negative result in the profits – minus 8 billion rubles. In previous years, the profit of credit institutions of the Republic showed a small, but growth: by the end of 2013, RT banks earned 4.1 billion rubles, and in 2014 – almost 4.5 billion rubles. However, the crisis has forced a graph of revenues turn into a very steep 'hill'.

The main bank of Tatarstan, having earned 0.7 billion rubles in 2014, by the end of 2015 had unprecedently large losses – almost 10 billion rubles. Moreover, the negative trend in the efficiency of its business can be found during virtually whole last year.

In general, the most 'successful' bankers of the Republic in the previous year were two largest groups: in addition to Ak Bars Bank, the group of banks TFB dragged to the abyss of industry losses Robert Musin. Timer Bank, that is under resolution, lost 0.6 billion rubles by the end of 2015, however, in 2013, when the former team led the credit institution, the Bank had 20 times (!) smaller loss in the amount of 28 million rubles. Of course, it does not excuse the old bank team, some members of which are currently under arrest.

The 3rd place from the bottom takes Intekhbank, which is in the group of banks of TFB. Its loss amounted to more than half billion rubles by the end of 2015. Another 490 million rubles was recorded by Tatfondbank in its report to the Central Bank. Avtogradbank of Chelny by Pavel Sigal also turned out to be among Ak Bars and the Bank of Robert Musin. Its profit has decreased from 984 000 rublesin 2014 to almost 76 million rubles in 2015.

Those who have earned

Meanwhile, all other banks had a profit, which, unfortunately, turned out to be threefold less than the losses of the main 'large banks' — about 3.5 billion rubles. Out of them, one single player – Avers Bank — provided nearly half (1.6 billion rubles).

Having earned 0.48 and 0.44 billion rubles, Tatsotsbank and Devon-Credit get in the top-3 most effective banks of the Republic by the end of 2015 along with Avers. At the same time, Tatsotsbank, owned by the family of the head of concern Radio-Electronic Technologies of Nikolay Kolesov, has managed to demonstrate growing efficiency, having increased profit twofold on 2014. In 2013 it had profit at 153 million rubles, in 2014 – 254 million rubles.

Devon-Credit in Almetyevsk in 2015 lowered the profit, having lost more than 100 million rubles on 2014, but having earned more than in 2013. Somewhere near to the top-3 – Energobank, controlled by the brothers Airat and Ilshat Khairullins, by the end of year, that was difficult for them, had the profit in the amount of 403 million rubles, having earned by 10% more than in 2014.
