Winners of Beauty Round presented by Steve Jobs and Midkhat Farukshin
Miss Bikini and Miss Talent of Miss Tatarstan beauty contest were chosen in Kazan on 13 January. It was an additional stage of the contest, a so-called beauty round. The winners automatically become finalists of Miss Tatarstan contest, which will be on 22 January. It seems that there is nothing especial. But all the intrigue is ahead. For instance, Viktoria Romanova became Miss Talent in 2015. She also became Miss Tatarstan. In 2016, Dilyara Yalaltynova was admitted the most talented beauty. This is why for spectators who have been following the contest for a long time, Beauty Round is a kind of hint who can become the most beautiful girl of the republic in the new year.

''It attracts you, it is a possibility to meet people, talk to interesting people and develop. It is a school of life. Stamina is needed. Model is not just walking beautifully,'' Ekaterina Tebekina says.
Beautiful and smart are incompatible notions. It is what people usually say about misses. Girls are not offended. They got used to it but try convince a contrary view.
''It is not true. A beauty contest participant must be easy-going, able to speak one language with everybody. If she participates in a foreign beauty contest, she will have to get along with people of other nationalities, know the language and mentality. ''What knowledge should a girl have?'' 21 girls participated in Beauty Round. They are not all participants, they are also girls from Kazan. The major battle was going to be on 15 January when 17 representatives from Tatarstan district come. 30 participants who will compete in the final will be chosen out of 38. In fact, the final is just a show. The winner becomes well-known during preliminary rounds. Even jury members admit it is unreal to judge an estimate of a girl and point out one out of 30 girls during the time they spend on the stage.
''It is difficult to estimate the beauty visually. A person has three components: material, inner and spiritual. These are three big worlds. The material world is the smallest. It is very difficult to estimate a person's inner and spiritual worlds judging by her appearance. We do it intuitively,'' says art director of Serginetti Alexey Simakov.
''You look at them, they are all identical! This is why one can understand it by talking face to face. When they become close to me, I can't point out anybody. Everybody deserves 10 points!'' stylist Vladimir Sholts is laughing.
Shtolts complained that the contest became uniform. All participants have long hair, while in world beauty contests, haircuts are in trend.
''Haircuts are popular in beauty contests in the world, while our girls let their hair grow. I will probably never see when hair is cut. It is beautiful. Here everything is the same year after year,'' the stylist says.
The winner of Miss Tatarstan will represent the republic in Miss Russia. By the way, despite the unusual beauty of local girls, which became a topic for discussion, no girl has tried the crown of the major beauty contest of the country on. The greatest success belonged to 2010 Miss Tatarstan Irina Sharipova who then became Vice-Miss Russia. Sharipova is still the only model from Tatarstan who managed to build a successful career at the international level.
